Many of you might be using Internet Explorer 8, where the final version was released some time back. Now if you started using IE8, you might have observed a flashy blue icon, whenever you try to copy, cut or paste something from IE8. This is the Accelerator Icon.
The purpose of it, is to use it to with the default accelerators that come with IE8. But it is very annoying sometimes, if you don’t want to use the accelerators or if you try to copy or paste.
So I tried for solutions sometime back, but first of all I couldn’t find the name for this icon. But during my web search i came to know it’s name and a solution to stop this icon from annoying me. The solution is very simple.
- Go To Tools ---> Internet Options in IE8.
- Go To Advanced tab.
- Under Browsing category, you will see the option to uncheck the Accelerator icon.
